BOW GROUP REPORT : THE FEMINISATION OF EDUCATION HITS BOYS

A key feature of this site has been the raising of the issue of how the feminsation of education has hit boys education (link). This trend has accelerated under this feminist anti-male government and shows why we need a Minister for Men.

Chris Skidmore has written an excellent report for The Bow Group highlighting the key statistics showing how decades of feminisation has proved costly for generations of men. The report availble on-line (link). It was also covered in the Sunday Telegraph (link) and (link).

The introduction states that the report is part of the Bow Group's Invisible Nation series, looking into groups whose situation is overlooked. Men certainly fall into that category.

The main findings of the report show clearly the damage that has been wrought, not just in terms of exams results but also in behaviourial matters. The main findings are:-

• 27% of boys- nearly 90,000 boys in total- do not gain a single good GCSE (a C grade or above);
• 21% of 14 year old boys have the reading age of a seven year old (level three or below);
• Only 21% of boys gain five good GCSEs including English, maths, science and a foreign language, compared with 31% of girls;
• Just 36% of boys stay on to take A levels, compared with 44% of girls;
• In the latest exclusion figures, boys accounted for 72% of all fixed period exclusions and 79% of all permanent exclusions.
