Hope I have found the right place for advice please help,

Briefly I applied for a job as a male for a community support worker going to differnt clients houses to help them with many different aspects of their help.
I passed the inteview with flying colours got a volountry night (to see how I preform), and was due to start the company's training and NVQs. Then I recieved a letter saying I cannot do the work because of the issues regarding feminine hygeine and the sex discrimination act section 7.
Of course I agree with the issues raised but there are male carers working for the same company. And male clients, Also female clients who will state weather they want tasks to be preformed by a female or male. Please can you advise me

Regards
Tony

Below is "Micah's Story"

My name is Micah and I was a student at Tate high School before they expelled me. It was suppose to be my senior year and a privilege I had looked forward to for many years. I worked hard to experience my senior year and had planned attend West Florida after that. However, this was crushed in a few short minutes.

It was a week before school was out and the end of my long junior year. A female friend of mine had come to sit by me on the benches outside the lunch room. Another friend of ours (xxxxxxxx) came running up to me and sat down hard in my lap, hurting my crotch, as he was joking around. I grunted, and said "ouch".

She told xxxxx he should kiss it and make it better, to which xxxxx and I both looked at her as if she was crazy. She said "Poor baby" and started rubbing my crotch.

I was shocked and said "Stop". This continued for a few seconds and I just didn't know what to do. I said STOP IT as I pulled my shirt down over my crotch area and yet she reached out and tried to undo my jeans. xxxxx stepped away, saying "ewe, I am leaving" after seeing this and others were clearly around and watching. I didn't know what to do - jumping up and running would have made me the object of ridicule and I didn't want this girl to hate me. I kind of liked her at the time but she had a boyfriend.

Seconds ticked by and I finally said "Stop it - others are watching you!
As I said this, I become aware that a group of boys from the lunchroom were coming up to us. We became the main target of jokes, harassment and even physical contact. One boy asked how he could get one of these as he pointed to my crotch. The girl told him he had to have a D**K before he could. He said he had one and started to undo his jeans, but I turned my head away totally embarrassed. I can't say if he exposed himself. Another boy had come up with a girl and grabbed my leg and had a picture taken next to my body.

I suppose they were all sitting at the same table in the lunch room because a few would run out and in as they proceeded to humiliate and harass us. They were requesting "hand jobs "from her and another would lay his hand on my leg only to run back in screaming "He was popping up on me".

I pulled my sunglasses down to hide the sting of tears that were trying to form in my eyes. I had controlled my anger yet I was so devastated by embarrassment. I didn't know what to do when it was happening or even now while a crowd was forming around me to pick on me.

The dean called us into his office one at a time. He asked what happened and asked for statements. I told him the best I could trying to save little parts out that she did - I felt kind of sorry for the girl that had become a victim of crowd as I had.

While I was writing, I truly didn't know what to say. If I jumped and ran away I would be called a homo and this girl wouldn't like me? People had already picked on me for wearing loose pants and now I wish the ones I was wearing weren't so tight.

Did I ask for what happened because my pants were tight? If I had grabbed her arm away would that be assault? Would I become the object of more ridicule if I said I told her to stop and felt violated? Guys aren't suppose to feel that way - are they?
I couldn't really think as I wrote my statement. I had too many questions in my mind and felt horrible after what I just endured. I finally just wrote it and signed it. I don't think I knew that this would be the paper that would determine the rest of my life - and it didn't require my mother or a lawyer to be there.

My parents had always taught me that no meant no, so I suppose I thought that it would go both ways. I never thought that because I was a male that either way I would be the one in trouble for it. Like, my mother told the dean, had the roles been reversed, she would have been picking me up from jail.

After everyone gave their statements, I was surprised to learn that none of the crowd that touched or verbally harassed us got in any trouble. Their statements were used against us as they recanted a version they had seen from a window and arranged not to implicate themselves. The girl and I were expelled for 10 days.

I will never forget the look of shock on my moms face when she entered the school and seen me sitting there. I am the type that hardly ever gets in trouble. I believe I have been called in 3 times during my High School Years.

She entered the office and Dean !!!!!!! told her what was going on. He told her I was very honest and a helpful young man. I found some kind of relief in that even though I had kept part of what she had done secret.

The Dean told my mom that the principal offered us a deal. To leave Tate High School and go to a school for troubled kids or I would be expelled for a year. My mom said I was the victim He said he would talk to the principal about the events and try to get things straight and he would fight for me.

I was allowed to come to school and go to a closed and sometimes locked room to take my finals - my mom had to drive me there and pick me up in a couple of hours. I was treated like a child molester or a rapist yet I got my tests finished.

What came as a surprise to me was when a few days later we got a letter that said I was expelled. My mom requested a hearing and we got one. The dean told me I needed to admit that I was wrong in not running away - which I did for him. One man asked if someone wanted to fight me would I run away? I said yes . but obviously I guess this was different because I didn't run from the entire crowd. I just sat there and took it. He asked if were drug tested which blew me away.

I don't do drugs!
They backed up the principals decision and Mr. nnnnn said my mom could go to Principal @@@@@ and ask if he would change his mind and let me attend another school. He said it was up to him.

Well that didn't work out either
So here I am, a 17 year old trying to get my life back in order. I spent the first month locked in my room until my step-dad made me get out and start researching cases and writing this. He said no one will help me unless I help myself, so I am trying. I know I want to finish High School and go to West Florida University.

We can't find an attorney and the ACLU hasn't returned our calls - The friend, xxxxx, moved to South Florida and I suppose I will just have to pray that NBC15ONLINE helps me out when they do my story. I want to continue school, go to College and make something of myself.

This is my statement.

(Note: Today was to be the first day of Micahs senior year. He sits at home in his room depressed, denied the day he dreamed of all of his life.

If anyone knows of an attorney that will help him on the 26th, please lets us know)

To clarify this - Micah and this girl were expelled for the remainder of the the 2007- 2008 and 2008 - 2009 school years from all Escambia county Schools. They have added sexual misconduct to his school records which keep him from ever getting a top security clearance and will mar his records which will keep him from the majority of any high paying jobs.
