TRACY BROOKS CASE SHOWS ONCE AGAIN WHY MEN SHOULD REMAIN ANONYMOUS UNTIL FOUND GUILTY IN RAPE CASES

The case of Tracy Brooks who had down the years falsely accused five men of rape is a salutary tale (link).

It not only serves as a great disservice to those women who are raped but again shines the spotlight into the way that the criminal justice system 'automatically' believes a man is guilty.

What is also made worse is that a man, once charged, is named irrelevant as to whether he is found guilty. It is too late for those who are found innocent or who eventually have the charges dropped against them, their names have been emblazoned across the media and the friends and work colleagues will never quite believe them.

Often the feminist fundamentalists will state that nothing can be in place that will out off women from coming forward if they have been raped. Of course, that is true, but there is no evidence to state that by keeping a man's identity secret, unless found guilty, would put women off from coming forward.

The current situation is a clear case of sexual discrimination against men and cannot be justified on moral, logical or rational terms.

The Government have looked at it but done nothing about it, no doubt because Harriet Harman QC MP sees it as an opportunity to attack and undermine men

This is one Law that has to be changed.

2008 BUDGET OFFERS MONEY FOR ENTREPRENEURS : ONLY WOMEN APPLICANTS WELCOME

One of the many items outlined in Darling's budget was the announcement that £12.5 million would be set aside for an "access to capital fund", only available for women entrepreneurs (link) and (link).

Not only is this patronising to women and another form of legalised sexual discrimination against men, it fails to understand basic economics.

If anyone has a sound business idea, they will get the funding through banks or other vehicles of venture capital. There is no evidence to show that women cannot get access to this funding because they are a woman and that men get more access solely because they are a man.

This is just another sexist policy by this anti-male government, paid for by the humble taxpayer.

NEW INITIATIVES FOR MALE DOMESTIC ABUSE VICTIMS

The past few months have seen an increase in activity in the organisiations (albeit still small) in the male victims of domestic abuse sector.

The ManKind Initiative has a new web-site (link)

A new help-line and service has been set up in Wales called Dyn Wales (link) and (link)

A new branch of Men's Aid has been set up in Scotland (link)

LX LITTLEWOODS DIRECT THINK MALE DOMESTIC ABUSE VICTIMS ARE FUNNY

One of the many this site's kind readers brought up a LX Liitlewoods Direct viral campaign which is available on YouTube. It was used as a Christmas viral advertising campaign in 2005 and shows four men in casualty that have been harmed by women, including one man with a stiletto embedded in his skull. It is based on their campaign about "What Women Won't Want For Christmas".

They seem quite pleased with themselves that the campaign was a success (link) and Mr Funny,  Michael Duffy, Head of Online at LX Direct said, " We wanted to investigate if they would respond to a viral campaign that was a bit more off-the-wall than normal".

The two points here:-

Firstly, LX Littlewoods Direct would never, and rightly so, create an advert that showed battered women in casualty with a tag-line "What Men Won't Want For Christmas". It wouldn't even enter their thick head, but an advert showing the same against men is fine by them. It was a similar issue to the MFA advert (link), the Superdrug Punchbag (link) and the All men Are Bastards Knifeblock (link).

Secondly, a common thread coming through much of the media coverage on the subject recently was that men as domestic abuse victims are not taken seriously by society at all. This was a brick wall that male victims were facing and remember that as many men are victims of severe force in a relationship as women.

HARRIET HARMAN - THE ENEMY OF MEN

This site and many others have often commented on how Harriet Harman, The Deputy Leader of The Labour Party, Cabinet Member, Leader of The Commons and Minister for Women, is the most dangerously anti-male person in the UK. As pointed out here (link), this is not a new phenomena. What makes her such a danger is the fact that she is in power and can actually bring in new laws and rules that actively damage individuals (who happen to be men) and is certainly the leading Marxist feminist in the UK. Whilst other groups can lobby and complain, she can actually do.

The key reason for raising this issue again, is the fact that this week she and her spin doctors were briefing the media about a consultation on changes to the Single Equalities Bill that will stop men (predominately white, but this site is not interested in the racial aspects) from getting jobs because it will allow employers the right to take into account gender when choosing candidates with exactly the same qualifications. 

The change as described and debated in the media (link, link, link, link) will be similar to the so-called 'positive action' (there is no such thing as positive action, because it means negative action for someone else, which means discrimination) schemes in the USA where in areas where there are few women, they get a specila treatment.

This is very dangerous system for men and all men in the UK should be scared because:-

Firstly, it plays to the politically correct game of identity politics and victim status. Instead of treating everyone as an individual whose gender is very much a secondary feature, it places men as the victors in every facet of life and women as victims who need help. It means that a poor boy from Peckham is seen as having more life advantages as a rich girl from Rodean public school (or St.Paul's Girls School which Harmen went to). This is manifestly wrong, immoral and unethical.

Secondly, men will lose out and they will be discriminated against solely on the basis of their gender, so the talents of a man are secondary, it is the fact they are not a woman that counts. There is already too much women-only grants, women-only societies and women-only management courses, many of which are funded by the taxpayer.

Thirdly, it means that the so-called meritocracy is dead, and a new system where your talent and contribution is secondary, it is your gender that is more important. Again, immoral, unethical and wrong in a democratic society.

Fourthly, male discrimination affects women. Men have mothers, sisters, wives/partners and daughters. If a male is discriminated against, then these women are also discriminated against, yet, according to Harman, it is being undertaken in their name.

Fifthly, it will not be applied, it is never is, to areas where men are wholly under-represented. This is especially a consideration in the primary school education sector where only 15% of teachers are male. Local authorities and the other state agencies are infested with feminist fundamentalists who were educated in the 1980's when the fundamentalist cause was born. These women are now in powerful positions and control policy, they do not care about men.

The only conclusion, and is gladdening to see for a change that even organisations like The Fawcett Society are questioning the proposals, is that if any pro-active 'action' consultation becomes law, it will give the green light to systematic discrimination against men, rich or poor, black or white (a black women will benefit from positive action over a black man - she ticks the box twice, he only once) will be systematically discriminated against.

That is why Harriett Harman is the number one enemy of British men.

NEW CRIME STATISTICS ARE WAKE UP CALL TO THE PLIGHT OF MALE DOMESTIC ABUSE VICTIMS

New British Crime Survey figures published by the Government (link) show that as many men as women are victims of 'severe force' in a relationship (1.7% men and 1.8% women).

These figures were highlighted by The ManKind Initiative (link) who accuse the Government, the police and local authorities of turning a blind eye to the plight of male victims, especially as the figures are irrefutable when they are the Government's own figures (link). This is because the Government do not provide local authorities with funds, the latter don't ask for it and don't want to know and very few police authorities accept that men can also be victims.

The ManKind Initiative also highlighted the trend over the past three years which show that c40% of male victims of domestic abuse are men.:-

Whenever, you hear Feminist Fundamentalist groups such as Women's Aid, Refuge, The Fawcett  Society etc, deny that male victims need help or if they only talk about female victims, then use these figures. Their untruths are no longer sustainable.

GMTV FEATURE SUCCESSFULLY THE PLIGHT OF MALE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS

When opportunities come along to highlight the plight of men, let alone male domestic violence victims, it is essential that these are taken and that the features are informative.

GMTV therefore must be congratulated on the way they handled the plight of male domestic violence victims on both Wednesday and Thursday. Not only was the coverage comprehensive, it was handled sensitively and was informative.

The point was made, especially by the ManKind Initiative's representative, that the plight of male victims can no longer be ignored by the Government, local authorities and the police.

PROSTATE CANCER CHARTER REVEALS POSTCODE LOTTERY

One of the most pernicious symptoms of the way the NHS is allegedly 'run' is the postcode lottery. We all pay the same taxes but the level of care available in your local area is solely down to chance. So much for the equality of treatment that the NHS was meant to be all about.

The Prostate Cancer Charter for Action launched this week (link) revealed this week that men in some areas are two and a half times more likely to die of the disease than those in others.

The number dying each year varies widely across English regions, from 15 to 38 per 100,000 of the male population. Charities and doctors said on Monday that a quarter of local health care providers had failed to implement guidelines on standards prostate cancer patients can expect from the NHS.

The Daily Mail reported the story (link) - "The middle-classes are losing out because of a postcode lottery of death rates from prostate cancer, figures have revealed. They show that a number of affluent middle-class regions have the worst survival rates, while some of the poorest have the best. Around 10,000 of the 35,000 men in the UK diagnosed with prostate cancer each year die from their disease. Some 60 per cent of cases occur in men over the age of 70."

GMTV FEATURE THE PLIGHT OF MALE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS

The ManKind Initiative are reporting that GMTV (link) on ITV1 are running features on the plight of male domestic violence victims both tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday.

IS THE WEST COUNTRY THE CENTRE OF ANTI-MALE DISCRIMINATION?

Over a  year ago Gloucestershire Police Authority had to pay compensation to male applicants who were turned as trainee police officers solely on the criteria that they were men (link). The police force broke the law with a secret policy of 'deselecting' more than 100 potential recruits for no other reason than being white men. They had to pay £2,100 to one man in compensation.

As quoted in the Daily Mail article above ,this followed on from Avon and Somerset's Police Authority decision in 2005 to reject 186 white applicants at the first stage of selection. In November 2005 the force received 800 applications for just 180 jobs. The force admitted they also deselected the applicants in a bid to increase its ethnic diversity.

Now as widely reported (link), (link), (link) and (link), Avon Fire Authority has held five Open recruitment days where for four of the days, white men were not allowed to attend.

There is something pernicious happening in the West Country when the authorities have embraced the anti-male feminist fundamentalist agenda hook, line and sinker. The authorities concerned are not apologetic about it and do not seem to think they had done anything wrong.

Whilst these abuses have been uncovered in this part of Engalnd, the burning question is where else is it happening?
