The Tower of London was built by the Normans who wanted to make sure that their version of 'Justice' was noticed. Their motto, back then, as expressed by William the Bastard, was "to demonstrate our commitment to diversity and maintaining a supportive working environment", just so long as the English chaps knew their place at the bottom of the shite heap. Things have changed little.
