Contrary to the view constantly bombarded to people from the media, women's groups, politicans and the ultra-feminists, men work as hard as women. This is the conclusion research from America's National Bureau of Economic Research which found that across northern Europe and America, the total workload combining activity both at work and home is now shared almost equally.
Whilst women spend more time working in the home, men work longer at the workplace. As well as challenging the myth that women work longer, it also shows clear evidence that the gender pay gap is not about sexual discrimiation (as constantly stated by women's groups - EOC, The Fawcett Society etc) but because men spend longer at the workplace. Ergo, they earn more money!
In the UK, the research shows that women work 428 minutes per day against men who work 418 minutes.
The BBC (link) have a debate, a vote and a detailed article. At time of this posting, 62% of people agree that men work harder and 38% say women. There are 1,500 comments on the debate.
At last, there is research to debunk one of the anti-male urban myths which states that women work longer than men.
