Peter Bacon clearly shares the promiscuity of the age but that doesn't amount to rape. A case demonstrating the confusions in applying a law from a time of sexual continence to one of sex as a recreation.
I hope it adds to the end of the "women can't be responsible for their own actions" interpretation of the law.
