Odone writes some good stuff so somewhat disappointing at first glance.

However if you read the article there isn't actually a single word of misandry in there it's only the actual headline which is offensive.

Sometimes writers simply produce a piece and the editors who create the headlines, so it may well be someone else that is to blame here.

Bob

Yes I agree John, I've noticed that too. Often the only thing that matters is the headline.

Misandrists know that most people just skim over the headlines rather than take the time to read the whole article so they encapsulate the propaganda message in the headline alone.

The Yesterday Channel (aka UKTV History and a BBC owned station) often uses this tactic, as do the MSN and Yahoo News sections and I use the word 'news' very losely.

I like this excellent example, from a positive point of view, by the great Esther Vilar.

The headings truely encapsulate the truths feminists have been trying to hide for decades.

Here is The Manipulated Man be Esther Vilar in its entirity, it is essential reading.

Eeeek, better retract by comments on Christine!

Bob

The difference is that Christine doesn't back up her headlines in the article but Esther Vilar does. No retraction needed.
