Peter Gordon has created an e-petition calling for anonymity to be granted to rape defendents as set out in the coalition governement's mainfesto. An issue they u-turned over.

I'm not sure this will work even despite recent cases in the news proving it is needed.
I think the only way a law like this to protect innocent men will pass is if it's wider in scope, perhaps anonymity for crimes which tend to be one person's word against another.
I think this would bee a positive development as it could include things such as domestic violence, an area where there are far too many false and malicious accusations as seen by today's news alone.

George - I think the site has been under a lot of strain. There is a surge in traffic at the moment due to the fact it was only launched this week.
