It was political correctness that meant that the authorities (police and councils) trned a bling eye when gangs of men from Pakistani-heritage backgrounds groomed young girls in Oxford, Rochdale and Blackpool. Is it the same reason why institutions let Rebecca Shuttleworth get away with torturing her son when she was known to the authorities?
If Rebecca was called Richard, would the institutions have been onto it straight away or did they turn a blind eye because it was a mother?

In all these extreme cases of mothers torturing/killing their children they almost always seem to be separated from the child's father. It would be really interesting to see some honest statistics on this issue. Also, the media almost always fail to mention that the father has lost his child which I find incredibly disgusting.
BTW the term "Asian" is inappropriate in this context, it implies the perpetrators may be Indian and I don't think a single Indian has been in any of the gangs. Many Indians are offended at the use of the term "Asian" in this context. Lets not continue the poisonous political correctness ourselves - if we mean Pakistani heritage people then lets please say it.
