Regular reader 'Groan' pointed this article out that I had missed and the comments clearly show that even the Guardian's readers (see comments section) had spotted the man hatred in Katie Allen's piece that was pure Orwellian.
To sum it up:
The female headcount in local government has plunged by 253,600 to 1.43 million since the coalition came to power in 2010 (15%)
The number of men in local government jobs is down less than half that figure, by 104,700 to 452,300 (19%).
But Katie said women were worst affected.
Plus of course it shows that three in every four people in local government are women - no bias there then.
Just like all the other lies about the recession that have been proved to be wrong about women suffering the most in the recession (here, here, here and here).

Yeah, there's bias. But there's another possibility that's not out the question: there is a fair number of innumerate drips among feminists.
Education standards have been dropping lower and lower and the main beneficiaries of that have been women. The education system is now geared to making women look smarter while demotivating and alienating men.
Hence, idiots writing for national papers who don't understand that if 3/4 of employees in one sector are women, then 3/4 of any all-round losses will be women.
This issue came up again a few years ago when I was still a regular commenter on the Guardian talkboard before I got banned for supplying too many facts the Guardian didn't like. Many commenters raised exactly the same point.
Some of their writers have learned nothing. Others are continuing with the same lies knowing full well there's a fair chance of getting away with them.

So its not bad enough they have dumbed down boys in education, torn families up to create a profitable abuse industry, when they finally end up in prison, they deny men their human rights now....

Sexism by inclusion:
This deliberate lying by the feminised press and its political cohorts has been going on for years. Unobserved by most brain dead public but to the MRM it has always been visible.
So yet again we see the slight of hand that credits women with the sacrifices and achievements of Men without them even being present.
I find this disrespectful feminist media tactic of using these brave dead men to give glory to the quota filling unmerited women who never do the real work utterly sickening.

Oh they have to jump on that, but no apology for the massive sexism in men vs women winnings vs sets-ticket prices?
Bloody hypocrisy of it.....

More widely, women have fared better than men since the start of the recession:
