The last post welcomed the outline proposal to open up the family courts to the media. It would seem according to the analysis by John Hemming MP (link) and Marcel Berlins (link) that all is not what it seems.
In many respects, what these two commentators have revealed is worse, because at least before there was no pretence of openness, now the judiciary and Government can say there is, when there is not.
Very Orwellian but is anyone surprised?
