A reader forwarded yesterday this post on a Rangers football club related website breaking down the levels of domestic abuse and domestic violence after an Old Firm (Rangers versus Celtic) football match. While there is an increase on Sunday when the match is played, there is a decrease on Saturday when the games are on. The research unfortunately does not look at the gender split but in 2009 it was revealed that men were more likely to be victim after an Old Firm Derby.
The post from Rangers was in response to the propaganda from the Strathclyde Police who said after a particularly fraught match in early March invlolving fights between players and the manager there was an upsurge in domestic violence (against women only of course). The police quoted a 100% percentage increase but as the Rangers research revealed there are no actual figures.
The Old Firm Derby, just like the Six-Nations Rugby (Welsh police always run a one-sided campaign stating that if Wales lose men go home and beat their wives up), the football World Cup (exposed as a lie) and also the biggest and most played out domestic abuse myth around the Superbowl.
Just like them all, the untruths are made and they are circulated around and around and it just takes someone to look at the facts to identify the truth. Why cannot journalists do this!

The most worrying thing is that's it's now taxpayer funded bodies creating and spreading these lies.
If Women's Aid want to lie through their teeth in their campaigns then that's to be expected, but for the police or local government to do the same then that's an entirely different matter.

Just thought I'd have a read of that Rangers article but THEY'VE ONLY GONE AND TAKEN IT DOWN!
Every other article on the site works perfectly, only that one has the "not found" error. It could well be a mistake but it looks like your classic gender feminist censorship to me.
