I agree with nearly all of what Melanie Phillips says here. But what was the thing with Germaine Grear? I missed the original comment, but girl toddlers DO try to 'flirt' with male adults. Some friends of mine have a not-quite 2 yr old daughter who frequently cocks her head to one side and bats her eyelids at me. It's obvious, and half-funny, half terrifically embarrassing. But it is nothing new. Was it because Grear specifically mentioned fathers when talking about it? Not sure if kids go through this phase with their own parents.
Back to the topic, 'Slutwalk' is quite the most sad and pathetic 'cause' I've ever come across.

Do people think that slut walks are at least an improvement on Take back the night marches?
Whilst they're clearly a completely pointless joke they don't seem quite as misandric and hateful therefore surely a minor improvement?
