Indeed Skimmington, when it comes to statistics the feminist attitude is "never let the truth get in the way of a good yarn".

If they did a study on how many assaults and abuses men suffer before calling the police the study would never end because they'd still be waiting for the men to call the police twenty years on. Probably because they know that calling the police would do nothing except maybe get THEM charged.

Saw the BBC news northwest tonight.(7th August) Topic Forced Marriage. It started with the usual focus on girls as victims. However the report followed members of the FMU going to meet a yung man,the officers were pointing out in their pieces to camera that males could also be victims. Good for the Forced Marriage Unit and shame on the studio reporters which still chuntered on as if the FMU officers comments hadn't been made. Even the female victim interviewed commented at the end boys also were at risk even though in her case the prospective groom was almost twice her age! A brave and honest young woman.
It seems the editor culdn't accept the evidence presented in the studio comments. The misandry really is in the media not in hose suffering or fighting this crime.
