A very important part of the men's equality calendar starts today with the launch of Men's Health Week.
Run by the Men's Health Forum, this year's theme is to challenge "men to talk about feeling crap before acting on it and challenging health professionals to help them do it."
As well as supporting the campaign (useful stats here), an important part will be see if it gets any traction in the media or from the professions especially those in the political, health and social service professions. If anyone hears the campaign on the news or on a blog than it is vital it supported, but I hope there is something high profile this week.
Maybe the Minister for Equalities will say something...or the Minister for Health...

Thanks for the plug. Certainly locally there are events and work being done. Any and all readers please do look out for local events and try to support or publicise them. There is no biological reason for men's considerably shorter lives. Consideration of men's poor health outcomes is the very bedrock of changing the disposability of males in our society.
Taking the mental and physical health seriously is core to so many MRA issues.
