In a Daily Mail article (24/01/08) that does not seem to be on-line, Frances Child, a secondary school teacher admits that the feminisation of education has meant that boys are disadvantaged.
In the article, she explain how stripping competitiveness from sport and exams has damaged boys, that they are not suited to course based work and also how when in comes to play they are not expected to behave as boys. No running around or playing with toys like tanks and guns.
As it comes from a female teacher, her views are extremely credible.
