The government announced today that there would be a new strict regime for those in prison where to gain perks they have to work harder.
This is not the site to go into the why and wherefores on the policy, except...it only applies to male prisoners.
And the government says it loud and clear.
Why is it just for male prisoners and not all prisoners. Why such bias? Is it because the government do not believe in equality of justice and punishment for all prisoners.
This is a clear breach in human rights and equalities legislation and any savvy male prisoner should be straight onto their lawyer and take the government to court.
We know its been talked about and policy proposals made, and now this is another example of the reality.
Basically a man in prison for burglary (terrible by the way) would be affected but this lady would not? Equality in 2013...

So why don't these larger groups of self proclaimed "mens human rights" spearheads file against the government in court? Complain as an organisation to the Equality watchdog? Why do you expect a guy locked in prison to do it instead?
Maybe they would get some donations if they did more than procrastinate and enjoy their own voices ?

What makes me really shake my head is that pricks behind this sort of thing, are too stupid to bloody see that this way the State and law treats and views men, is half the reason so many of them are in there for in the first f****g place!

Thanks for picking up on this, Skimmers old chap.
Note that the government says that they're 'thinking' of ways in which they could implement changes for women sometime in the future (i.e. kicking it into the long grass).
Course it's not going to happen, since female priveleges are protected by Corston's 'Gender Specific Standards' as outlined in this directive here:

You couldn't make it up!

Yes, compelling male prisoners to wear a uniform whilst not requiring female prisoners to do the same would be a clear-cut case of sex discrimination under the UK Sex Discrimination Act and also existing EU law. Even though it is entirely legal for an organizaton to set different dress codes for men and women the law requires that the dress codes should be equally imposed. Chris Grayling should have really been aware of this before making such a ridiculous and irrational pronouncement. He's obviously not up to the job. Time for him to resign meethinks.

HAHAHAHAH!!
Honestly what was the point even talking to these women about piracy? They gonna master a huge ship? Be in front line combat shooting at them? Exactly, what a waste of time on a bunch of attention seekers
