PLEASE DONATE TO TOM MARTIN'S CAMPAIGN - IT IS VITAL

In April this year the site reported that Tom Martin was trying to get funds together to sue the London School of Economics because their gender studies course was sexist against men.

Tom has made a plea to all those interested in male equality to help him fund his legal case - no matter how small a donation you can give - please do so via this site. He needs another £1,100.

Please also forward to others you know - to encourage them to donate.

This case is more than just a personal issue affecting Tom, it is a vital cause that if successful and will have long lasting postive effects for male equaility in the whole of the UK. If it fails, then there will continue to be no check on the unrelenting anti-male culture we have in the UK fuelled by gender studies courses arming armies of anti-male feminists up and down the country.

It is always worth remembering that the anti-male feminists of today will be the power brokers of tomorrow. This is what happened from the late 70's onwards where thousands of women were radicalised into the men=bad, women=good worldview that has meant men have been second class citizens in Britain. Those women who were radicalised now hold senior positions throughout the public sectors, the media, the arts and in politics.

As more and more 'positive' discrimination takes place in the UK further relegating men in the future, those radicalised now will be able to do even more damage to equality because they will be given even more a leg up into top positions.

This is why Tom's campaign is vital.

The second issue worth commenting on is analysing of the commentary the case has received and the response of the LSE. There has been coverage in The Standard, The Guardian (1,130 comments!), Camden New Journal, Forbes and Spearhead.

Tom has told this site that "all the excuses used in the Guardian article, and by the defence, are known ruses, which I have the experience to debunk entirely in court. I researched gender issues and rhetoric for 5 years before entering LSE's Gender Institute, so will get the job done, funds permitting."

Firstly, with any campaigns that threaten the anti-male orthodxoy is that they try and portray the campaigners as being women-haters. You get this from the tone of the Guardian article and in feminist circles right now (The F Word), this will be how Tom will be portrayed. This will also come through official bodies and there will be whisperings against him now. We all know who these organisiation are - some of them taxpayer funded.

Secondly, it is worth studying the LSE's comments in their response in the Standard article -

The university's legal team has asked for the case to be struck out, claiming the core texts were not compulsory, merely recommended readings, and that the texts were equally available for both men and women to read, so therefore did not directly discriminate against men. The team also argues that "any discriminatory effect [against men] was plainly justifiable".

Now obviously this may or may not be the whole statement but the LSE's legal team actually agree that any discriminatory effect is OK. Can you dare imagine what would be the case if the genders were reversed - they would never publish such a statement. It also proves once and for all how discrimination against men is seen as normal, that there is nothing wrong in it and that it should be encouraged.

This is why Tom's campaign is vital - victory will support every man, every boy and every woman who likes men.

GOVERNMENT FIDDLES WHILE ANOTHER GENERATION OF BOYS BURN

Today's GCSE results shows another generation of boys who have been betrayed by an education system that does not care about them, is content to see them relegated to second class citizen status and is happy to see them sacrificed on the altar of anti-male Marxist feminism.

Today's results which showed boys dropping further behind girls at the top grade, with just 19.6% of their exam entries awarded A* or A, compared with 26.5% for girls. The biggest gap since 1991 when it was 3.6%. For A* to C, the gap is 8.5% (66% boys and 73.5% girls). Subject by subject results are here.

The story is mirrored at A-levels (18 year olds), SATS (11 year olds), university and the professions.

The thing is that while this government acknowledges (BBC video - 2 minutes in) there is a problem of boys education (more so than its predecessors who purposely ignored it because it was a Marxist form of social engineering) they still do little about it as constantly pointed out by this site time and again (especially here).

Nick Gibb mentions that we need more discipline and better reading skills at primary school level - but it not enough. Many believe, as I do, that the ending of exam based O-levels (last taken in 1987) and moving to the female-friendly course-based GCSE's was the fundamental shift.

If the governement was serious it would allow both systems to co-exist and then at least boys could take exams that play to their innate strengths and girls to theirs.

That would be too radical though not just in itself but because it would trying to help boys achieve some sort of equality and we all know no one is interested in that especially the metropolitan elite.

There are some that state the move to end of course teaching may help, we hope so. The Guardian points out that course work has been dropped for Maths and this has seen boys outperform girls. It would unfair though to go back to a system that was boy-friendly but not girl-friendly - so why not have two types of exams.

The other point of course is that on a daily basis we hear about the gender pay gap or the gender boardroom gap but nothing about the gender education gap.

Why are the Ministers for Equality (Theresa May and Lynne Featherstone) so silent, why is Trevor Phillips the Chairman of the Equalities and Human Rights Commission so silent and why is the cabinet member for education (Michael Gove) so silent? It is because they do not care about men and boys, they are content to see them shunted into life's sidings. After all, that is serving the needs of the anti-male establishment that run the country.

THE SCANDALOUS GOVERNMENT HYPOCRISY OVER THE GENDER EDUCATION GAP

This week the government published the SATs results (officially known as Key Stage 2) for primary school children which test their ability to read, write and add up at 11, just before they go to secondary school.

While the headline figure shows that one in three don't make the grade (level 4), the report also highlights:

There is still a worrying number of children performing at a very low level. One in 10 boys leave primary school with the reading age of a seven-year-old and one in 14 boys leave with the writing age of a seven-year-old.

The government minister (Nick Gibb) said: "We are determined to raise standards of reading. There will always be some children for whom reading is a struggle. However, we can and must do much better for the one in 10 boys who at the age of eleven can read no better than a seven-year-old."

The results in detail are:

• English 81% (86% for girls, 77% for boys)
• Reading 84% (87% for girls, 80% for boys)
• Writing 75% (81% for girls, 68% for boys)
• Mathematics 80% (80% for girls, 80% for boys).

This shows there is a clear gender education gap in English, reading and writing (not Maths) and whilst at least this government recognises it, it is doing absolutely nothing to remedy it. It says it is an issue and then walks away.

As shown, many schools are not bothered and also we know that the Equalities and Human Rights Commission and the Government's joke Equalities Department are not interested.

But more so when do you see the Department for Education running a massive study into why it is happening and then bring in policies to remedy it?

The government is bothered about the alleged gender pay gap and the alleged gender boardroom gap but does absolutely nothing to tackle the gender education gap.

It proves beyond all doubt that men and boys remain firmly second class citizens in the UK and it is a situation the government is quite happy with.

BRITISH SCHOOLS ARE NOT TAKING BOY'S UNDERACHIEVEMENT SERIOUSLY

One of our regular readers pointed out new research commissioned by the Equalities and Human Rights Commission about how schools were supporting the public sector equality duty and what practices they were carrying out. It is a long document (192 pages and the Commission response was thankfully 28).

While its conclusions state that 75% of schools were able to provide a positive example of how the duty had had a positive impact on boys, only 13% had actually either changed the curriculum to help boys or taken another action to improve boy's learning (chart on page 77).

In addition, contributed to measurable outcomes, schools were most likely to say they had ensured that clubs/activities/subjects/sports are open to both boys and girls (19%).

While there are clear problems in the education of boys, it seems that ensuring equality in being involved in clubs is more important. The underlying message is that improving boys attainment is not on the top of the equality agenda within schools when clearly it is the most important education issue.

The anti-male Equalities and Human Rights Commission continues to purposely turn a blind eye on the issue and barely mention boys in their report. We all know if it was girls who were falling behind at school, the Commission would be churning out reams of reports on that subject alone and Trevor Phillips (its Chairman) would never be off the airwaves.

The scandal of the neglect of boys education (and here) shames this country and the silence on the issue is a victory for the metropolitan anti-male elite including the majority of those at the top of the education establishment (not all) who are quite happy to continue to sweep it under the carpet.

IN THE NAME OF EQUALITY - CAN YOU SUPPORT A LAW SUIT AGAINST A LONDON UNIVERSITY?

ACTION ALERT: Gender Studies Law suit in London

 

 

An egalitarian MRA is bringing a damages claim against an elite university's Gender Studies department which he attended as a student, but was forced to withdraw from due to the persistantly sexist anti-male nature of the course. His legal claim is based on Sex Discrimination law, Breach of Contract, Misleading Advertising and Misrepresentation – and he is looking for pro bono support from a lawyer or barrister, or assistance from a 'McKenzie friend' – someone not necessarily legally qualified, but who can nevertheless offer advisory support and strategy in court.

The university's promotional literature did not warn of the one-sided anti-male learning materials that would form the bulk of the curriculum – and the university's prospectus and regulations, forming part of the contract, specifically rule out discriminatory learning materials and practices – so the facts of the case are uniquely strong - on a number of fronts - and a successful litigation here will help bring about real improvements for the future inclusion of men and men's equality issues within gender studies, and all other academic fields.

The complainant will be filing particulars of claim no later than May 10^th 2011. The court case itself will take place in the months to follow. WILLETTS MUST TAKE ACTION ON SOCIAL MOBILITY FOR BOYS

Yesterday, I lambasted the government for failing men and giving them false hope even though there are MP's on the Conservative benches who wish to stand up for them. I mentioned Brian Binley and Charlie Elphicke on shared parenting, Dominic Raab on feminism (he has been quiet on it recently) and there were Conservative backbenchers who wanted anonymity for rape defendants.

Then last week Universities Minister David "Two Brain's" Willetts said that feminism had reduced social mobility for working class boys (Daily Mail and Telegraph).

The government seems to be split between those MP's who just want equality and fairness and then people like Theresa May and Lynne Featherstone who do not think it applies to men and boys.

The issue that Willetts should be looking to address though is that it is the aggressive female fundamentalism that is crushing boys. Equality for girls and ensuring there are opportunities for them is of course no problem. But the feminist fundamentalists have taken it a stage further. Not only do they want to give special treatment to women from all backgrounds (including the already 'privileged' middle class women that Willetts alludes to) such as the hideous Section 159 of the equalities act but they actively stop anything from being done to help social mobility.

Education results show that boys are around six years behind girls when it comes to exams results and that fewer boys go to university than men (51% women and 40% men) but there is no public policy response. Not anything even in the government's laughable 'equalities' strategy.

So there is no point Willetts pointing this out unless he is going to do anything about it. We wait to the social mobility report he alludes to and what it will say.

FEMINIST FUNDAMENTALISM AT THE NATIONAL UNION OF STUDENTS

Yesterday we ran a story about the problems some students had at the University of East Anglia because they fully understood what equality means but the vested interests of the Feminist Fundamentalist movement did not.

The story reminded me of a previous story about Olivia Bailey the then National Union of Student's Women's Officer who had produced a document called "I will win the arguments"  which had a section specifically designed to not just to stop anymore men's officers from being appointed on campuses but also to abolish those few in place. This document has moved from its last address and is now here (page 7).

However, digging around, I found a resolution that was passed at the 2010 National Union of Student's Women's National Campaign Conference. It is in the minutes of this year's conference that occurred at the weekend (there was no similar motion in 2011). The motion is on page 15 and is available via this pdf Download Motion no 803_Men's Officer.

The motion was crystal clear - it wants all existing men's officers to be scrapped, men's officers reinforce the advantages they have on campus (there are now of course less men than women on campuses because of Britain's failure to educate boys so who knows what fantasy advantages these are) and that men's liberation groups be banned but women's liberation groups be kept.

The hatred of men comes through loud and clear and the concern is, and as reviewed yesterday, that those who passed this motion and spoke up for it will soon be embedded into the political framework of this country at a national, local, pressure group (taxpayer funded of course) or quango level. Those feminist fundamentalists will take their student views and infest them into the body politic as they have done since the 1970's.

The power of the internet has meant here it has been exposed for the world to see. In times of yore, these motions would have been passed and no one outside those who went to the conference would know it.

The war against men is being started on campuses up and down the UK and the radicalisation of some women turns them into fundamentalists who despise and hate men and believe men are not equals,they are subservient.

CAMPUS RUMPUS OVER GENDER EQUALITY OFFICER AT UEA

This site recently was forwarded an email outlining the experiences of a student at the University of East Anglia in Norwich after he had called for a debate on having a Gender equality Officer at the student union. They currently have a women's officer ('surprise surprise as Cilla Black used to say) but no men's officer.

His experience is laid out clearly in his blog where 'surprise surprise' the accusation of misogyny is causally cast about as a fascist stick to silence debate.

This site has covered this type of issue before: Hull, Manchester and Oxford. Kentkept there's after a failed attempt at abolition though "the National Union of Student's Women's Movement has a problem with this."

As we know from experience in the UK and of course in the USA, hatred of men is a constant theme with many women becoming radicalised on campus (gender studies anyone?) to then go out into the wider world to preach the Marxist Feminist Gospel of women=good men=bad. They end up in governement as politicians or senior civil servants, enter quangos like the Equalities Commission or local authorities/police forces as oxymoronically called 'diversity officers'.

The experience in the University of East Anglia is a salient reminder of the danger.
